We live in an era of unprecedented content production.
Every day, brands publish videos, reels, interviews, podcasts, product demonstrations, behind-the-scenes footage and corporate stories.
Yet there is an uncomfortable contradiction: more content does not necessarily create more attention.
In fact, audiences are becoming increasingly selective about what deserves their time.
The problem is rarely a lack of content. It is a lack of meaningful content.
Many brands approach production with the question, “What should we post this week?”
A better question is, “What does our audience need to hear, see or understand from us right now?”
That distinction changes everything.
A production should have a clear purpose. It could educate, inspire, entertain, demonstrate expertise, humanise a company or move someone closer to a purchasing decision.
When every video is created simply because the content calendar says something must be posted, audiences eventually learn to scroll past.
The future of brand production will therefore not belong to the companies producing the most content. It will belong to those producing the most relevant content.

Quality also needs to be redefined.
Quality is not necessarily a 4K camera, expensive set or elaborate production design. Quality is whether the production successfully communicates its intended message to the intended audience.
Sometimes that requires a cinematic production.
Sometimes it requires a founder speaking directly into a camera.
Sometimes it requires nothing more than an honest story.
The question isn’t whether your content looks expensive.
The question is whether it feels worth watching.
